Our Client sought to revolutionize their hiring experience from interviewing to onboarding by creating a process that is scalable, user-friendly, and globally standardized.

Background

A global technology company launched a research and discovery project to inform their future strategy in revolutionizing both their interview and onboarding process and technology. Today, the HR Tech team sees inefficiencies in both interviewing and onboarding new hires. Processes are manual and inconsistent, and technology systems are disparate across regions limiting the ability to scale. Our client sought to understand current state processes and stakeholder experiences to inform actionable recommendations for a hiring process that can be scalable, easily repeatable, user-friendly, and globally standardized.

Solution

Recommended standardizing interview process and investing in an onboarding hub tool to improve experience for employees engaged in the hiring process that both future proofs the organization and acts on immediate need.

Lesons Learned

Equipping people with the tools necessary to do their jobs effectively is one half of the puzzle, equipping them with proper tool training, process, and interpersonal dynamics is the other. Gobal standardization is not a fix all, regional nuances need to be taken into consideration when designing for global teams.

Conducted 143 interviews across 5 persona types and 4 regions to inform future state process improvements and tech implementation.

Analyze & Document

Analyzed 5,000+ lines of qualitative data through thematic sorting and sentiment analysis to determine the largest areas of friction. Documented current state process to overlay experiential breakdowns, highlighting areas for improvement

Visualize

Created 25 journey maps for each persona to understand their unique experience through interviewing and onboarding new hires including pain points and opportunities.

Deliver Recommendaations

Delivered 60+ page report highlighting short to long term recommendations for improvement in relation to both interviewing and onboarding. Scoped roadmap for implementation, success metrics to monitor, and next steps for consideration
